Pre-construction activities include developing project flow, site plans, a schedule, securing permits, and contracts and financing. By using a lean delivery method, the DeLeers commercial building process sets clear expectations resulting in a smooth project. You’ll see the most benefits when DeLeers is involved before design. Yet, no matter where in the decision-making process, you’ll appreciate our invaluable insight before construction begins.
DeLeers will work with you and your architect to review and finalize your construction plan, evaluate construction methods and materials, and suggest value engineering to fit of your needs with your budget.
During construction, we use our large in-house staff to self-perform as much work as possible. That allows us to control the details, resulting in a higher quality end product.
After initial site work, we create the foundation for your structure, including the concrete footings and stem walls. Then, we rough-in and frame the exterior shell, and weatherproof by installing exterior doors, windows, roofing, and exterior siding.
The utilities are next: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and technical systems. Interior construction includes walls, ceilings, and floor surfaces, followed by carpentry, painting, cabinets/countertops, plumbing, and lighting fixtures. We finish with exterior site work and landscape layout.
Speaking of green areas, DeLeers is committed to striking a balance between the environment and economic development. Our LEED AP-certified expert pairs high-quality materials with precise, efficient construction, reducing energy waste and lowering operating costs. Our green focus also helps you save money now and long down the road.
Near the end of construction, the entire commercial design team performs a quality control review and inspection by local officials. We’ll walk you through your new building for an orientation to systems, amenities and warranties. After final billing, we’ll close on the project.
Though the project may now be completed, our service isn’t. DeLeers Service Division remains at your call for technical, structural, and cosmetic updates as well as regular maintenance, all to keep your building looking and performing its best.
“[DeLeers] are very gifted people in the sense of creating design. One of the things we appreciated is that, for us, they took an old house and were able to reconstruct it in a way that still lent itself to the old house but made us feel like we have a new home … they have good attention to detail and follow-through.”
